What is CBD?
CBD is short for cannabidiol, which naturally forms in cannabis plants. CBD is non-psychoactive and interacts with your body’s Endocannabinoid System, which plays a vital role in helping one maintain homeostasis, or balance in the body.
What is the endocannabinoid system?
The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a biological system composed of receptors, neurotransmitters and cannabinoid receptor proteins. The ECS helps regulate a range of functions involved in physiological and cognitive processes and contributes to the homeostasis of the body through the regulation of immune, cardiovascular and reproductive systems. The ECS is linked to immunity, mood, sleep, memory, learning, appetite and digestion, metabolism, bone and muscle formation, skin and nerve function and even motor control. Making it an important part of a happy and healthy body.
Will CBD make me high?
No, CBD is non-psychoactive and will not make you high or feel intoxicated but it will help you relax!
CBD edibles duration: 4-6 hours
CBD oil and tinctures: Can bypass the digestive system and are directly absorbed into the bloodstream through sublingual drops lasting 2-4 hours.
If you don’t feel anything right away, wait 30-45 minutes before taking more to avoid any potential grogginess that could come from overconsumption.
CBD takes time to take effect and while you can see results on the first day, we recommend incorporating it into your daily routine to see consistent relief and balance.
Does CBD Come from Hemp or Cannabis?
Our CBD is derived from a specific type of Cannabis sativa that is classified as industrial hemp. It is specifically bred to contain high levels of CBD and low levels of THC. So while it comes from cannabis broadly, it actually comes from a US Federal Government regulated version that has below 0.3% THC and lots of CBD!
How long do the effects of CBD oil or edibles last?
There are many factors that can affect how long CBD lasts in your body such as body weight, frequency of use and any tolerance you have built up.

How does Sweet Escape ship?
We ship via the U.S. Postal Service within the United States. International orders upon request.

From the time you place your order, expect your delivery to leave our kitchen 3-5 business days later as we have to hand make/bake every order! Use the tracking number you received during your check out to see where your order is in the process. We promise we’re moving as quickly as we can to get your order to your front door! Between our internal processing time and the time in transit, orders arrive on average 4-8 business days after your purchase.

We’re sorry your favorites are out of stock! Subscribe to the Sweet Escapers List for regular emails regarding menu restocks, new product releases and exclusive offers! We try to restock Mondays and Thursday regardless so subscribe to keep up to date or check in Mondays and Thursdays!
